Dynamic Talks & Workshops to Support Women in Modern Life

Practical, insight-led sessions that deliver long lasting change.

* If you're looking for a practical session rather than a performative box-ticking exercise for your International Women's Day event this year,  then get in touch to discuss my keynote talk, fireside chat & Q&A or workshop options.

Do you need an uplifting, lively, informative speaker that will get people thinking and deliver the impact you want for your company or event?

Modern life is full-on, especially for women.

Between work, care roles, emotional labour, identity shifts, and constant expectations,

many women are operating in survival mode rather than with clarity or choice.

My talks and workshops name the real pressures women are under, challenge outdated narratives, and offer practical tools that people can use immediately - at work and at home.

Many of these sessions are designed for both mixed-gender and women-only audiences, helping organisations build understanding, reduce pressure, and create more supportive, sustainable workplaces for everyone.

All topics are available as keynotes, company talks, fireside chats with Q&A, interactive workshops or lunch ’n’ learns, and can be tailored to suit your audience, event and objectives.

”Listening to Alana's talk was a great and inspiring experience, and her unwavering energy and powerful message resonated deeply with everyone in the audience."

Jacquie Doyle, COO, AIB Life

What I bring to every talk:

âś” A relatable, uplifting experience that blends storytelling with science-backed tools
âś” A downloadable workbook for your audience for follow-up and reflection
✔ The option to expand the talk into a 2–3 hour interactive workshop with live coaching
âś” A no-fluff, high-impact delivery style that leaves people feeling seen, supported, and ready to act

"I would highly recommend Alana to anyone looking to support, uplift and empower women. A brilliant session!”

We were delighted to welcome Alana Kirk as a keynote speaker for the Local Enterprise Office Dublin National Women’s Enterprise Day 2025, with over 300 attendees in the room. Her talk, “What Beliefs Are Holding You Back, Why You Have Them, and How to Bust Them,” was not only insightful but deeply resonant.

Alana captivated the audience with her authenticity, warmth, and powerful storytelling. Her ability to connect on a human level - while delivering practical, thought-provoking content - left more than a lasting impression. The feedback we received was unanimously positive, with many rating her session a perfect 10 out of 10.
She really connected and rightly earned the accolades and buzz that followed - both in the room and across LinkedIn and our other Socials. I would wholeheartedly recommend Alana as a keynote speaker for any event seeking inspiration, impact and a real genuine connection.

“Thank you. I feel you came at a time when I needed you & your guidance the most. Your workshop was incredibly insightful and resonated so much. I had so many Aha moments with you and it made me feel so seen and understood. Your observations and advice on some particular issues were so eye opening. I never realised… no wonder I’m exhausted! Your advice on boundaries especially was amazing. You hear so much about them but not how to put them in place, so your advice was super helpful. Thank you does not seem enough, but thank you,“

 Ageing Powerfully

- Redefining midlife and empowered living

This is not a talk about ageing gracefully. It’s a powerful reframe of midlife - and why so many women arrive here exhausted, overwhelmed and questioning themselves, despite doing everything right.

I place women’s experiences in social and cultural context (hint: it’s not you), and introduce practical tools to help women protect their energy, regain clarity and move forward with confidence.

At the heart of this session is a vital shift - from caring endlessly for others to learning how to mentally, emotionally and practically self-support.

Best suited for:
National Menopause Month • Midlife & leadership programmes • Women’s networks • Wellbeing initiatives

Let's Talk

This is not another self-care talk.

Women were trained to care externally - to notice, manage and carry everything around them. In this session, I show them how to self-support instead.

Using my unique Quadrant of Chaos framework, I unpack the real causes of overwhelm - practical overload, cognitive load, emotional labour and ingrained expectations - and provide a proactive, ongoing process for reducing pressure and restoring clarity.

Participants leave feeling lighter, clearer and more in control.

Best suited for:
Wellbeing weeks • International Women's Day events • Staff away days • Booster breaks • Conferences • Resilience and mental wellbeing programmes

The Struggle to Juggle Tax

- Why women are carrying more - and what it’s costing them (and you)

” Participants said it was the best presentation they have heard this year! They also loved Alana’s positive and can-do attitude, and walked away from the session feeling their attendance was very worthwhile and with much food for thought.”

Sarah Bealin, Executive Officer, Learning and Career Development Unit, Department Enterprise, Trade and Employment

Alongside their paid roles, many women continue to carry the bulk of unpaid household work, emotional labour and mental load. This hidden reality comes at a cost - to wellbeing, confidence, progression and retention.

This talk names the Juggle Tax, links the household work gap to workplace outcomes, and offers practical strategies women can use to support themselves  alongside insights organisations can act on to better support and retain talent.

Best suited for:
International Women’s Day events • D&I initiatives • Retention and wellbeing strategies • Mixed-gender teams

Let's Talk

Many of the beliefs holding women back don’t feel limiting - they feel responsible, polite or professional.

This session explores the invisible filters women have been socialised to see the world through, and how these shape confidence, boundaries, ambition and leadership presence.

With warmth and clarity, I help audiences recognise these patterns and build self-trust, authority and voice - without becoming someone they’re not.

Best suited for:
Leadership development • International Women’s Day • Women’s networks • Manager and team training

In a noisy world, visibility isn’t about shouting louder - it’s about being felt.

For women in business, storytelling is a powerful tool for credibility, connection and confidence. This talk helps women stop editing themselves, step out of comparison, and use their lived experience as a strategic strength.
